The BBC Afternoon Live host, who is well-known for poking fun at stories and adding his special touch to traditional news reporting, burst into laughter and left his weatherman co host sweating after the funny TV moment
The hilarious segment began when the BBC presenter introduced his co-host and said: ‚ÄúDarren Bett is here and looking cuddly.‚ÄĚ
The BBC Weather host responded and said: ‚ÄúI am indeed.‚ÄĚ
But Mr McCoy replied: ‚ÄúNo. Not you. That.‚ÄĚ
Mr Bett said: ‚ÄúYes. China and pandas. Animals and weather. Perfect combination. Would could go wrong? Now. Well, I‚Äôm going to show you this.”
The weatherman then began showing a video of a panda playing in the snow and said: “I’ll probably need to step out just to, you know, you don’t want to see me laughing and cackling. This is in China.
“The first snows have arrived and we have got some lovely and cuddly pandas there playing Рnot quite mastered the tyre trick yet but when we watch this, actually, in the office we thought we had to show this because there is a particular point in this clip where it looks a bit like you.
‚ÄúAnd it is just about to come up here just lounging. And there we go. I think that‚Äôs quite rude.‚ÄĚ
Mr McCoy then began to laugh hysterically while watching the segment.
Mr Bett continued: ‚ÄúI think that‚Äôs really rude. I think that panda is quite cute.‚ÄĚ
The panda in the video then began to eat bamboo and Mr Bett chuckled and said it looks like the BBC host eating at his desk.
Bursting into laughter, Mr McCoy said: ‚ÄúI don‚Äôt know what I‚Äôve done.‚ÄĚ
The BBC Weather presenter then spoke about how it is zero degrees in China and it marks the exact weather temperature for pandas to play.
The BBC Weather reporter then attempted to present the weather report but Mr McCoy can be heard giggling in the background.
Mr Bett then laughed and said: ‚ÄúI‚Äôm worried because he‚Äôs standing off the shot. He‚Äôs going to say something. Something about cute and cuddly.‚ÄĚ
While laughing, the BBC Weather presenter added: ‚ÄúWe have got some blue on the charts so there is a frost there. I‚Äôm starting to sweat. Keep going, Darren. Keep going.‚ÄĚ
The BBC host ended the report and said: ‚ÄúAnd talking of hot air‚Ķ‚ÄĚ
Mr McCoy then slid into the shot, giggled, and said: ‚ÄúHe‚Äôll be in again later.‚ÄĚ
