Like a lost sock from the ‘90s that you assumed was gone forever, erstwhile MuchMusic gadfly Ed the Sock returns — presumably from some Toronto sub-basement laundry room — to do a cross-country tour through nine Canadian cities.

Ed’s War on Stupid tour launches in Nanaimo, B.C., on Nov. 27, and finishes in Winnipeg on Dec. 7 at the Garrick Centre.

“I’m not launching the War on Stupid tour in Western Canada because there are a lot of stupid people there,” Ed said in a press release. “It’s because there are a lot of not-stupid people who need some relief from a world overrun by morons.”

Best known for hosting MuchMusic’s year-end “Fromage” broadcasts celebrating the worst videos of the year, Ed promises rants that are bound to offend everyone across the political spectrum and video clips of his interviews with celebrities.
